All items must be paid in advance. A retainer of no less than 50% of the order price is to be paid to confirm the date for your booking within 48 hours of invoice. No booking is official until the retainer is paid. Any retainer not paid within 48 hours of quote may result in the booking no longer being available. The retainer is non refundable and non transferable, except at the discretion on the owner of Sweet Spot Cakery. The remaining 50% of payment is due fourteen (14) days prior to the booking, or the previous business day where the date falls on a weekend. This date is only officially held when deposit is paid. Please allow for bank transfer times when making online payments. Should final payment not be made a reminder will be sent. Failure to pay this will lead to the retainer being withheld and cancelation of the order or a lesser product being provided at the discretion of the owner of Sweet Spot Cakery.

 

Retainers are non refundable and non transferable and all cancellations will see the forfeiture of all monies paid to that point.

 

Although all care will be taken to produce a product as close to the brief as possible, Sweet Spot Cakery will not directly copy the work of another cake artist and reserves the right to make changes either in design or content, to produce the best product possible for our customers.

 

Consultations and tastings are available for wedding cakes only and are by appointment only an agreed location. Limited flavours will be available for tasting at these consultations and will be based on client requests and current availability.

 

Please ensure all dates, times, flavours, sizes, colours, spelling, addresses and other details contained in the invoice are correct at the time of payment. Payment implies you have thoroughly checked these details and agree they are true and correct.

 

Changes can be made to an order up to fourteen (14) before the date of an order, with any extra costs payable immediately. Any changes that decrease serving sizes and design elements after the retainer is paid will not alter the invoiced price. Any changes after this date are at the discretion of the owner of Sweet Spot Cakery and will incur a surcharge.

 

Minimum order limits apply so small items such as cupcakes and other individual serve items. Please contact Sweet Spot Cakery to confirm these.

 

Sweet Spot Cakery reserves the right to refuse the sale of goods or services or to cancel an order under certain circumstances without warning or explanation. Under these circumstances all monies paid will be returned to the customer within 48 hours of cancelation.

 

Although all care is taken to avoid cross contamination cakes are made in the same kitchen where nuts, gluten and dairy are present. While we will endeavour to accommodate your request, there is no guarantee that products are nut, gluten or dairy free.

 

Servings are as a guide only and rely on servings being cut in accurate 1 inch by 2 inch (2.5cm by 5cm) sizes. Failure to do so can lead to less servings being available. Sweet Spot Cakery takes no responsibility for inaccurate cutting methods leading to a failure to meet required servings. All specialty and novelty cakes are approximate servings only. We recommend all cakes be left at room temperature for a minimum of half an hour to ensure they are at their best for consumption.

 

Delivery is provided free within the Deniliquin town area for wedding and other tiered cakes only. Transport outside the town area can be arranged at an added cost. Should no one be available to accept delivery of the cake at the venue the cake will be left in the allocated place and photographic evidence taken to prove safe delivery. All other cakes are for pick up from our studio, by appointment. Failure to arrive within 15 minutes of the allocated appointment may lead to nobody being at the studio for pick up as we are an appointment only cakery. Sweet Spot Cakery will not take responsibility for any damage during transportation or storage of the cake by customers once they have left the studio. It is recommended all cakes be transported on the flat base in the car boot or the flat floor space within the car. Travelling with cakes on a seat or on the lap of a passenger is strongly discouraged and often leads to damage and movement of the cake.

 

All flowers, toppers and other items to be included on the cake are to be provided to Sweet Spot Cakery in advance. Should fresh flowers be provided, they are to be at the venue or our studio no later than two (2) hours before the reception begins. Failure to do so may result in them being excluded from use. Flowers deemed to be poisonous or toxic can be refused for use at any time, disregarding how they are prepared.

 

Any items including stands, brooches, props and other items owned by Sweet Spot Cakery and hired by the customer are required to be returned at the responsibility of the customer within 48 hours of the booking, unless otherwise agreed to in writing by both parties. Any item not returned within this time frame or returned with damages will result in the forfeit of the hire bond.

 

All cakes are photographed by Sweet Spot Cakery at various times of  production and may be published at any time after your event without compensation to you. We welcome you providing us with professional photos of your cake with the permission of your photographer.

 

Any special offers, discounts or vouchers are subject to availability and at the discretion of Sweet Spot Cakery and can be cancelled without warning. All gift vouchers expire twelve months after the date of issue and are subject to the terms and conditions set out on our page.

 

In the event you are unhappy with your cake you are required to contact Sweet Spot Cakery within 24 hours. The remaining portion of the cake needs to be returned by the customer to Sweet Spot Cakery for a full assessment within 24 hours. After a full assessment, a decision will be made in regard to any replacement, partial or full refund. All replacements and refunds are at the discretion of the owner of Sweet Spot Cakery and will be final.
